Flexible dual contained chemical dosing hose
Protectaflex is a flexible dual contained chemical dosing hose that will save you time and money compared to traditional pipe-in-pipe systems. It consists of a durable PU outer jacket, which is UV stable, and an inner hose in a choice of materials (reinforced PVC, LDPE, PTFE and TPV).
The main difference between Protectaflex and PF Detect is the leak detection system: Protectaflex uses system-designed catchpots, which enable the outer containment to be terminated inside the catchpot.
Features and Benefits
- Made from a light and supple material, and it relies on capillary action rather than gravity to work, meaning it can be installed almost anywhere and is easy to handle.
- Lightweight meaning lower shipping and storage costs. It is up to 48% lighter than traditional hose-in-hose systems
- Good flexibility and lower bend radius
- Easy to handle and install, for example, flexible hose can often be installed via a duct so there is no need for expensive and disruptive excavation works.

- Hose can be delivered in continuous runs with no joints up to 500m, meaning you only require one fitting for each end on half a kilometre of hose
- Potential to have a continuous run of inner dosing hose, even with a catchpot
- Ideal for temporary lines as no catchpot is required
- Reduced packaging and fully recyclable resulting in a lower carbon footprint
- In tests, the PU outer did not distort when the inner hose burst

- LDPE— Inner Hose: WRAS approved white VendHose (WRAS No. 1504522). Temperature range: -20OC — +55OC
- PTFE—Inner Hose: PTFE Natural virgin Fluropolymer. Temperature range: -70OC— +240OC
- All covers: Unreinforced, UV stable, non-phthalate, clear PU
